Dear (insert name here),
I was excited to see a possible opening for (position name) and I would like to submit my resume. I am currently working as a bilingual paraprofessional at Cesar Chavez High School Academy, providing language support and assisting ESL students in accomplishing their daily objectives and having a positive learning experience.
Over the last eight years, I have had the opportunity to teach and tutor Spanish to students of all ages and levels in traditional and online classrooms. As a result, I have learned different teaching techniques, developed lesson plans, fostered an engaging environment, and utilized digital tools to improve social interaction by creating new strategies based on content, learning objectives, and student's needs.
Teaching is the most wonderful opportunity to explore and grow in different areas that along with my degree in Communication and Journalism, have further developed my potential, skills, and perspective. Previously I worked in Serviweb and Kumon, where my responsibilities included proper Spanish grammar and proofreading in order to write, edit and publish all corporate magazines and advertising material. I have also worked as a freelance journalist in several Internet websites and newspapers. In addition, I published a short stories book in 2007.
This position represents an important opportunity for me as I am looking to develop my skills and further grow in the education field. I am confident that I can offer you the skills you are seeking.
I look forward to collaborating with my experience on (school or company name) and I appreciate your consideration. I can be reached at (phone number) to arrange an interview.
Sincerely,
Camila Mendez
